Nitin Kumar Agarwal is a passionate problem solver, architect, and hands-on leader with over 18 years of experience diversified across 12 years in software product development and 6 years in leadership roles. Currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer at ARM Embedded Technologies, he is known for playing diverse roles to support fast-paced business needs and help organizations expand product portfolios and profitability. Nitin has helped his organization to expand its Network-on-Chip (NoC) product portfolio by architecting behavioral NoC synthesis, adding algorithmic intelligence, and solving a series of intractable software problems. He is recognized for his depth in technology and imagination, having filed ten patents (7 granted and 3 in progress) and presented papers in conferences such as IEEE/ACM ICCAD, DAC, and ISPASS. Nitin believes in risk-taking, constant learning, and pushing the bar every single day. He switched to a principal engineer role from being an engineering manager, considering learning opportunities and organizational business needs. He strongly believes in a growth mindset and challenging the status quo, successfully leading bottom-up product development and influencing buy-in along the way. In his current role at ARM, Nitin is responsible for building an EDA product for NoC's behavioral synthesis. He has architected and led the development of an EDA tool written in C++ for behavioral synthesis of Network-on-Chips, with involved hands-on work. He has helped the organization shift focus to start using automated and algorithm-based flow to generate interconnects, saving hundreds of man-hours going into manual designs. Nitin has also worked through multiple customer evaluations for design wins and created a strong IP portfolio around NoC behavioral synthesis. In his past roles, Nitin has built engineering teams to scale and productize connectivity solutions. He has staffed and coached teams to enable connectivity solutions on ODM/OEM's platforms, grooming technical competency so that the team eventually provided fixes for 75% of product defects. Nitin has enabled connectivity solutions for Tier-1 customer launches and led multiple task forces focused on power and performance KPIs optimizations & critical customer bugs. Nitin holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Samrat Ashok Technological Institute, Vidisha.
